The Lady Raiders

All-Girls Hockey In Westchester

Lady Raiders

2025 - 2026 Lady Raider hockey tryouts are now complete. If you are interested in learning more about the Lady Raiders program, please email us at contactus@scarsdalehockey.com.

League / Skill Level

The Lady Raiders play in the Connecticut Girls Hockey League (www.ctgirlshockeyleague.org) and also play a significant number of "non-league" games vs. other girls programs.

For the 2025 - 2026 season, the Lady Raiders will roster two teams, a 19U team and a 14U team, both playing in the CGHL.

The Lady Raiders welcome 14U+ girls of all skill levels, although the team reserves the right to designate certain players as "practice only" if they are truly at a beginner level.

Coaching

Our Lady Raiders program is run by Coach Anthony Felice. Anthony is also the Head Coach of the Men's Ice Hockey Team at Sacred Heart University. He also coaches for Rye Country Day School, previously coached with Manhattanville College and has coached elite travel teams in the New York and Connecticut areas for over 20 years.

Our program also has two assistant coaches, Sydney Royce, who played college hockey at Nichols College, and Jessica Troilo, who played college hockey at SUNY Cortland.

Where

Practice and home games locations will vary between Westchester Skating Academy and EJ Murray Memorial Skating Center.

When

Our program runs from September to March.

We typically break for holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Winter Holidays, February School Break) although we offer "stick times" and other skills clinics over these holidays periods for program members.

Practices

Teams can expect to practice twice per week.

~50 practices per season.

Games

Teams can expect, on average, two games per weekend (one home and one away game).

Full Season - Approximately 20 home and 20 away games (including tournaments)

Tournaments

Teams will typically play in 2 tournaments per season with travel distance typically between 2 and 5 hours from our home area. The specific tournament(s) will be proposed by the team coaches and managers once the skill of the team and the league level has been assessed.

Tournament Costs

Although SYHA covers the cost of tournament entry for teams (two tournaments per team per season), there are lodging, transportation and meal costs that will need to be covered by each family.
